Well yesterday was amazingly ace.
As said me, James and Andy all went for a round of Golf in Ashford.
When we arrived it was chucking it down quite a bit so we headed off to the driving range. I managed to whack quite a few decent balls with James hitting the roof a couple of times and Andy managing to hit himself. Once we all got settled we were doing quite well when finally the rain started to ease up, so we decided to get a game in.
We were told we would need hedgehog wheels on our caddy carrier which we didn’t have so we had to lug two golf bags around - never a good start.
We got to the first hole, James managed to hit it off to the right about 10 yards, not good. After we had all teed off my ball was amazingly in the best position of the three - good start? No I managed to lose it after the second shot and to cut a long story short we all ended up getting the ball in the cup on our 12th shots, oh dear!
Ok off to the second tee then; things can’t get worse can they?
Andy’s first shot he lost which he spent ages looking for with me teeing off on the second hole after around 10 miss hits but landed ok thankfully.
James’ shot was pretty spot on and was right near the green. Andy was still looking for the lost ball so I decided to try and get my ball over the rough. I managed to chip it so weakly it went straight into the rough. Six shots later and it was on the green along with James’ ball and Andy’s new ball.
This is when it proceeded to absolutely hammer down and drench us completely. After potting all our balls we decided to bail after playing only two holes of golf costing us around £33 all in all, doh.
Oh well we all met up later in Rye and around £60 down later we were all suitably pissed and in fine form - a top, top night and makes me realise how much I miss my friends and home :(
